Your celebration, your cake: a guide to getting started

Welcome to Cake News from Cyndy Cakes and Pastries! This is our space for cake inspiration, baking stories and updates from our kitchen. For our first story, let’s start with a question at the heart of every celebration: what kind of cake feels right for your occasion?

Start with the celebration A birthday, a wedding, an anniversary or a family gathering can each inspire a different cake. Think about the mood you want: playful, elegant, colourful or understated. A favourite colour, a meaningful theme or a photo you love is a useful starting point for your design request.

Think about your guests Before choosing a size, estimate how many people you plan to serve. Include that number in your request so the conversation starts with your celebration’s needs. If you have a preferred flavour, share it too. Mention any dietary needs or allergies and ask us to confirm what can be accommodated before ordering.

Share your inspiration You do not need to have every detail worked out. Describe the colours, decorations and overall look you have in mind. If an image inspired you, explain which details you like. Your notes help make the design conversation clearer; any special requirements should be confirmed before payment.

Keep the date in view Your event date matters just as much as the design. When requesting a custom cake, include the date, your city, the number of servings and any useful notes. Ask about availability and delivery arrangements before finalising your plans.

Know the price before you pay On our Custom cakes page, you can send a request describing your celebration. We review the details and provide a quote before you pay. There is no need to guess a price from an inspiration photo: wait for your quote and check that the details match what you want. Payments are available through NotchPay with MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money, in FCFA.
